Every so often the missionaries have interviews with the Mission President to discuss problems, successes and to receive counsel. This week Elder Wong will have his next to the last interview and he’s seeing that his time of service is coming to an end…..
This week has been pretty exciting and full of miracles in our area and in the zone. Elder S and I worked a lot this week to establish a new teaching group here, and we had some success. We were able to find some good families to teach who are progressing, and some of the members of the family went to church yesterday. It will never cease to amaze me to see how much the Gospel blesses the lives of the families that we teach.
We had the baptism of P this week. He is a young man with 11 years, and is a very intelligent boy. He said that he wants to be a missionary as well when he grows older, so I’m excited to see him serve a mission in about 7-8 years. Then on Sunday, we went to Catolé, because one of the investigators that I did the baptismal interview asked that I baptize her, so we went to Catolé after the sacrament meeting in Centenário.
This week we will have interviews with President D, so it will be my second to last interview with him. It seems a little strange for me to be so close already to the end of the mission. Most of the time, I like to just not think about it and go to work, but I know that sooner or later I will have to face the fact that it is ending.
This week my scripture is Isaiah 49:15-16.
